Hello everyone, and welcome to episode 2 of Mel’s Podtastic life! I hope you’ll stay a while. 🙂
For this next episode, we will be working on not 1, but 2 origami projects. I’ve recently taken up origami thanks to an event hosted on clubhouse, and I’ve had lots of fun doing it. I am still a beginner, and I have tendinitis, so that poses a bit of a challenge when making precise folds in the paper. For this reason, I have to alter my steps so I can better modify the project to my comfort.
I’m linking to the blogs containing the text instructions for these origami projects, both so you can follow along with her instructions instead of my modifications if it helps you, and to give Lindy, the awesome blogger who gave us these project instructions credit and hopefully attract more visitors to her blog. I’ll specifically give links to the projects I’m working on in this podcast, but feel free to browse around. In fact, do a search for Origami, and you should be able to pull up all her Origami projects she has presented, so you can choose one of your own to try.
The first project is her origami house. You can
Visit the Origami House page here.
The house is made with a 6-inch square, so I had purchased larger origami paper, just to see if it made things easier. When the paper arrived, I recorded the unboxing because there was another item I wanted to discuss. this item is a foot rest that goes under a desk, for those poor souls who sit at a computer all day and need more comfort and circulation for their legs and feet. Once the unboxing is complete, we begin our second origami project, a square picture frame, while using the footrest. For those who wish to use the text instructions,

Don’t forget to listen to my final thoughts at the end of the podcast episode to see what I thought of the larger origami paper in comparison to the small, and what I thought of the footrest. This episode is something you won’t want to miss!
Finally, if you wish to purchase the items mentioned in the podcast, you can do so using the provided links below.
Here’s where to buy the 6-inch square origami paper.
You can buy the larger, 10-inch square origami paper here.

Finally, I’d like to extend a thank you and a warm hug to all my listeners. You guys are the best. Until next time, stay safe and healthy, and most importantly, have fun!
Catch you on the flip side. Keep up to date on our blog, and stay tuned for another episode of Mel’s Podtastic Life! Have a fabulous day.
